The job, day to day
Tiles are the first thing you notice when entering a room. The tiler prepares the surface, plans the layout, cuts and lays tiles on floors and walls, then grouts and finishes. Bathrooms, kitchens, terraces and shops: the skill is needed on every site, from new builds to renovations.
The course is above all practical. You learn to check and prepare a surface, choose mortars and adhesives, and lay tiles straight, level and square. You learn cutting, diagonal laying, tiling stairs, skirtings and grouting, then estimating the tiles and materials a client will need.
In three months, you can deliver clean and durable work. You can join a building company, work with a craftsman or offer your services to private clients.
