The profession

The job, day to day

Weddings, christenings, ceremonies, businesses that want to showcase their products, artists who care about their image: demand for beautiful photographs keeps growing. A professional photographer knows how to compose an image, control light, direct the subject and deliver work on time that goes well beyond what a phone can do.

The course teaches you to master the camera in manual mode: exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and focus. You study composition and light, both natural and artificial, then practise portraits, event coverage, product photography and studio work. Finally, you learn selection, basic retouching and delivery to the client.

Shoots in the field and in the studio let you build a portfolio. You leave ready to work in a studio or an agency, or to launch your own photography business.
