The profession

The job, day to day

No home, hotel or hospital can do without a plumber. The sanitary plumber installs hot and cold water pipes, connects fixtures (basins, showers, toilets, water heaters) and fits the drainage. The plumber is also called out for repairs, when a leak, a blockage or low pressure disrupts daily life.

The course teaches you to read a plumbing plan, choose pipes and fittings, then cut, join and install PVC, multilayer or copper systems. You fit sanitary appliances, carry out pressure tests and learn to diagnose faults. Safe, clean work is part of the trade.

You leave able to complete a full sanitary installation and handle everyday repairs, in a company or on your own account.
