The profession

The job, day to day

Owners of flats, villas or commercial premises do not always have time to look after them. The property manager does it for them: finding tenants, drawing up leases, collecting rent, organising maintenance and repairs, and reporting back to the owner. It is a role of trust, at the crossroads of law, management and customer relations.

The course teaches you the basics of property law and tenancy agreements, then day-to-day letting management: viewings, inventories, rent receipts, reminders and service charges. You also learn to oversee maintenance work on a property, keep simple accounts and present a clear management report to the owner.

You leave able to manage a portfolio of properties for an agency or a property company, or to start your own letting business.
