The profession

The job, day to day

The office secretary is essential to the running of any office. The secretary types and formats documents, keeps spreadsheets, manages email, welcomes visitors, takes calls and files records. These skills are needed everywhere, from small shops to large companies, and open the door to many office jobs.

The course first teaches you to use a computer with ease and to type quickly and accurately. You then master word processing, spreadsheets and presentations, followed by email and the internet as working tools. You also learn secretarial techniques: reception, telephone, note-taking, writing simple letters and filing.

You leave able to work as a secretary or office clerk, and to produce flawless professional documents.
