The job, day to day
Plaster ceilings, suspended ceilings and plasterboard partitions are now found in homes, offices and hotels. The installer builds them, then applies the paint that gives them their finish. This is finishing work that clients see every day and judge most strictly: precision and cleanliness make a craftsman's reputation.
The course covers all three skills. You learn to install metal framing, plasterboard and jointing tape, then to fit suspended ceilings and plaster cornices. You then learn surface preparation, filling, sanding and applying paint, with the right tools and products.
In three months, you can finish a room from start to end, from the partition to the last coat of paint, for a company or for your own clients.
