The profession

The job, day to day

The medical sales representative presents a pharmaceutical company's medicines to health professionals. The representative visits doctors, pharmacists and health facilities, explains the products, their uses and their benefits, and reports back what is heard in the field. It is an independent role, in which you plan your own rounds.

The course gives you the two foundations of the job: the medical and pharmaceutical knowledge needed to speak accurately, and the communication and sales techniques that persuade without overstating. You learn to prepare a visit, present a product, handle objections and report on your activity.

Role plays train you to hold a conversation with a demanding professional. You leave ready to join a pharmaceutical company, a distributor or a medical promotion agency.
